Contact InformationLocation:Pamela M. Levy, M.A., MFT My private practice is located in a suite of offices, which I share with several other experienced therapists and therapist interns. We enjoy a great deal of camraderie and support, as well as referrals when applicable. My office is spacious, comfortable, and filled with natural light. The large, well-appointed waiting room allows individuals and parents to wait in comfort and helps children feel secure when other family members are in session. Phone: (650) 634-9821 E-mail: pam@pamelalevymft.com Please feel free to contact me with any question you have or to schedule a free consultation. You may use any of the information above, or you may use the following form and I will respond within 48 hours. AppointmentsScheduling:I offer convenient hours available to fit your schedule. You can usually arrange to have a first appointment within a few days. Payment:My standard fee is $120 per 50-minute hour. I also offer free, initial consultations, and I have a few available time slots in which I see clients at reduced hourly rates. I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. While I can provide clients with an invoice to forward to their insurance companies for out-of-network provider reimbursements, I have a solely fee-for-service based practice and do not accept third party payments. Insurance:Although I have participated in managed care panels in the past, I no longer do so for several important reasons. The primary reason is the lack of confidentiality provided by managed care organizations. When working with a client through a managed care plan, I must disclose anything and everything related to my client's case to the managed care organization. Because the relationships I build with my clients and the work we do together are based on the highest standards of trust, I find my work and those relationships compromised by the lack of confidentiality offered by managed care plans. Additionally, these organizations often limit the number of sessions regardless of the needs of the client. And these organizations require an endless number of phone calls, forms, authorizations, etc. in order for me to do the work my clients come to me for. Insurance companies are also often unwilling to pay a fair fee consistent with and respectful of my years of training, experience, and expertise. Thus, I do not accept managed care and am not on any insurance panels by choice. However, that having been said, I will be happy to review the terms of your insurance, which may cover some of the cost of counseling. Map & Directions:My office is conveniently located close to both freeways and public transportation. The large, well-maintained office complex also has plenty of free parking. I provide my services to the highest ethical standards and my relationships with my clients are strictly confidential.
